Roasted Garlic Mushrooms

Roasted garlic mushrooms are a flavorful and versatile dish that can be enjoyed on their own or incorporated into various recipes. They make a great addition to your meals and are sure to impress your guests with their rich, savory taste.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound (450g) mushrooms (such as cremini or button mushrooms), cleaned and stems trimmed
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, thyme leaves, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the bowl and toss them in the garlic and oil mixture, ensuring they are coated evenly.
  4. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet or a shallow roasting pan.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the mushrooms for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring once halfway through cooking.
  6. Once the mushrooms are roasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  7. Transfer the roasted garlic mushrooms to a serving dish. Sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish if desired.
  8. Serve the roasted garlic mushrooms as a side dish or as a topping for grilled meats, salads, pasta, or as a filling for sandwiches.
